Services provided: individual therapy for adults 18+

I've worked in the field of mental health for more than 15 years, starting out as an in-home support for young adults with developmental delays like Autism and Cerebral Palsy. I also worked as an advocate for youths in the juvenile justice system in Lansing, MI before becoming a supervisor for other advocates. Then, I graduated from Michigan State University with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

I moved on to receive my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. I have worked for the past 10 years in community mental health, most recently as the Clinical Director of both adolescent and adult Partial Hospital Programs, and through this time have been licensed as a mental health counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, gotten certified to provide neuroscience based trauma and stress treatments, as well as became a certified clinical trauma professional. It's been a lot of hard work!

I try to bring practicality and humor to my therapy sessions while still creating a safe-feeling and inviting space. I love to teach, and believe that understanding your brain is a crucial component to buying in to the belief that therapy can help. I expect that all of my clients come to session with an open mind and a willingness to work.

Personally, I love plants (as evidenced by the ridiculous amount of plants I keep around me in my office!) and being out on the ocean in whaleboats, which I row recreationally and competitively. I also build model kits, love stand-up comedy, and do a variety of arts and crafts on a regular basis. I love K-pop, especially BTS! 아포방포!

I'm excited by stories and I'd love to hear yours.

I am here to listen, I want to learn about you and what you bring to the table. Clients I often work with are looking for a therapist to assist with therapeutic self expression, Art Therapy, LGBTQIA+ issues and resources, Gender affirmation, Grief processing, Trauma treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and coping skill development. My clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, self harm, communication or relationship issues, disorganized thinking, or just finding and expressing their authentic selves.

I have found over the years that creating a safe and comfortable space and feeling for clients is the best way to help them speak their minds and begin whatever the healing process is for them. My office is a judgement free space that I want clients to feel like they can be their authentic selves in. My approaches vary as no two journeys are the same.

Please feel free to reach out to me via e-mail or my number, I am always happy to answer questions and have consultations to see if I am a good fit therapeutically. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and potentially beginning a therapeutic adventure with you. Let's get you on the road to healing, whatever that looks like for you.

Lola aka "Piggy"

Lola is our resident therapy dog who has been working in the field for over 10 years. She has experience with all ages, and just wants to support you while you process and heal. She is a beagle / dachsund mix and is more than happy to let you pet her as much as you like.

“Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu.” May all beings everywhere be happy and free. May the thoughts, words, and actions of our own lives contribute in some way to that happens and freedom for all…including ourselves.

Liberation and freedom starts with ourselves, and I’m so grateful your curiosity has brought you here. As a holistic mental health practitioner, I have come to value open heartedness, curiosity, and compassion as the foundation for client-centered healing. Through my clinical work I have found that clients often show up to therapy with the knowledge of why they’re experiencing their symptoms, but frustration because this knowledge isn’t leading to long-term, sustainable changes. In a world where people feel they need to choose between intellectual knowing versus having feelings, I offer the third choice where we can find balance between our head and heart.

I am most energized when helping people explore and identify their own internal energies, wisdom, and resources. I utilize a variety of trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, such as IFS informed treatment, somatic-attachment work, polyvagal theory, mindfulness practices such as yoga, and tenants of MI, CBT, and DBT. Clients I work with are often looking for a therapist to support them with complex or developmental trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues and resources, eating disorders, grief processing, suicidality, depression, and anxiety.

In terms of education, I received my B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Music from Mansfield University in 2019. I then earned my M.A. in Clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2022. While in graduate school I began my holistic trainings through Sva Ha Yoga and the Synergy of Sound Training Academy founded by Lisa Ishwari Murphy. I graduated in 2023 from the academy’s Sva-Ha yoga teacher training program, co-directed by Lisa, and Neil and Andrea Cabral. I am a 200-hour RYT through yoga alliance, and additionally am a certified level II reiki practitioner under the training of Sherrie Rose Best and Suzanne Guay. My clinical experience is expansive, including inpatient, residential, forensic, PHP/IOP, and outpatient settings with children, teens, and adults. I am currently a pre-licensed master’s level therapist, and while I work towards finishing the requirements for my LMHC, I am working under the supervision of Jenna Ellis, LMHC. I am currently able to offer in person or telehealth sessions and encourage you to reach out if you have questions or interest in working together.
